How to Build Consistency in Life

Consistency

Nothing nutrition or training specific today! Just some takeaways I’ve learned on consistency and how it can be a massive help to nailing those nutrition and training goals. For many of us, consistency in life is a fleeting dream. We may spend time setting goals and reaching milestones but we soon realize that it’s not enough to keep our lives together. The world around us is constantly changing and we find ourselves struggling to keep up with the demands of our daily routines. This struggle for consistency can lead to burnout, frustration, or even depression. This post covers tips on how you can build consistency in your life!

Prediction: If someone reads my blog post they will learn about ways they can improve their quality of life and become more consistent with their goals by following these 3 steps: (1) finding what makes them happy; (2) being authentic; and (3) maintaining a routine.

1. Find what makes you happy

Have you wondered why it’s so hard to find happiness? It’s because we spend most of our lives trying to make other people happy instead of focusing on our own happiness (especially us trainers!). We may tend to be unhappy in unsatisfying relationships, jobs, or living situations because we’re not happy with ourselves. It’s important to learn how to be okay with being alone and focus on what makes us happy! In turn, we find happiness within ourselves. (I learned this one from my step mom awhile back during a break up!)

Once you’ve started learning more about yourself, it’s up to you to make a change for the betterment of your health and well-being! If something doesn’t feel right in your life, take a closer look and figure out how you can change it. You might confront the person who makes you unhappy or you might choose to leave them behind for good. It’s up to you to decide how much energy you want to put into finding happiness. The conversation may be difficult but we live for those difficult situations and learn from them!

2. Be Authentic

It’s important to stay true to yourself and be authentic about your goals and aspirations! If you’re unhappy with where you are in life, it’s ok to change that for the better. You might not know how, but I can tell you from personal experience that it isn’t as hard as it seems! Once you’ve recognized what you want out of life, go ahead and make a change for the better. You may have to put yourself first but if the people around you truly care about your well-being, they’ll be there for you when you make those changes! Just make sure you communicate with them!

3. Maintain a Routine

Everyone who knows me, knows I am going to hammer this one! We all know how important it is to get enough sleep every night! And while this advice has been given to us countless times by our well-meaning parents, doctors, and friends, we often choose not to follow it. We stay up too late or wake up too early to get that extra hour out of our day. These decisions can be detrimental to our well-being and cause us a lot of unnecessary stress! Developing a routine that works for you is an important part of staying consistent in life.

Yes, it takes time to get used to this new schedule but once you’ve gotten into the swing of things, it will become much easier. You’ll find yourself curling up each night right around the time you want to go to bed and waking up refreshed at your desired time! Life will become easier once this routine is established and you won’t have to worry about figuring out how short of a sleep cycle you can get away with anymore! Many more blog posts to come on the importance of sleep!!

Short and sweet. Nothing complicated just speaking whats on my mind in these posts!
